Sound
Sound-e-scape is an environment created by sound.

There are different elements of the soundscape which we want make visible and through feelings.

The sounds may not always be heard consciously, but including visuality by changing some elements in the enviroment, houses, rooms, we can expose the character of the place. Mostly through history of the place and the people. Sounds are created by nature, wind, water, forests, plains, birds, insects, animals etc. In many urban areas for example, traffic has become the keynote sound.

We want to find the sound of your place.

The soundscape composition we make, is a composition creating a sound portrait of the sound environment which strengthen the visuality and emotion of the old buildings. It's simply about letting sound express the momentum of different times, which are not visible from where we are, and in the way that attention to sound can make us more present in that place.

It is physical and emotional.

Paying attention to sound with the visual structure of the surrounding leads to a deep experience.

Visual
The installation uses sculptural materials and other technical things to modify the way we experience the particular space. The work is site-specific which can be designed only beeing there and experience the existenz in the space for which it will be created. The meaning of the environmental installation is that one can actually enter or pass through the work and be partially or completely surrounded by it.

Sound-e-scape
is a project, created in the village of Zdonov in Czech Republic.

We spent there three weeks in an old farm, listening to the sounds and working on the project. We were inspired by the atmosphere and the visual appearance of the whole place.

The cellar of the farm was the main source of inspiration. There were three separate places in the cellar. The first one was a narrow corridor with stairs. The second one - the main room, former coal chamber and the last one - we called it "The kitsch room", because it looked like industrial techno mixture space. All these places were sounded by different sounds, which we created.

The corridor’s sounds were blurring and drawling voices of people. The main place of the cellar was sounded by a heartbeat, coming from a lighted stone monument, which we created in the center of the place. The acoustic was absolutely breath-taking… The atmosphere in the third room was very industrial, combined with shadows on the walls, which we drew. The feeling was complete by a neon light, breaking off the light.

This installation was a 24 hour moment live.

Time changes colors, structure, sound...
The walls of every house are alive, they breathe, they talk, and they soak the sound of the past times.

The cellar is the most sensitive place of the house…the heart of it. Its walls have been absorbing not only the moisture, but the sound of many voices.

We are walking through the fourth dimension, where multidimensional voice of the space whispers.
“The moment” is already a history. There was, there is and there will be. This little time frame is escaping too fast from our senses. Many memories and dreams go out from our mind. The sound picture collects the left pieces of old times and restores an old photograph, which have been alive in someone’s memory. It’s not your own memory, but somehow you remember that, it’s familiar to your senses.

If our own voices would go back through the time they would change their own vibration. The layers of the years would transform those sounds to smooth echoes. Then past meets the present, leaving tracks and scratches to it’s surface.

We are searching for the sound of the shadows, left beyond the years. These shadows are coming back now and they want to be alive again. Through the years they left their own shadows.

Once this space was full of many stories, many voices. Layers of movements are recorded somewhere deep into the walls. A moment of existence, a moment of crossing the time border, a moment you go through is a surrealistic sound escape…
